St Josephchurch

Information

In March/April I discovered this church was abandoned. In may I paid a visit, but could not find an entrance. In October I did and made some pictures from the inside.

History

In 1940 the church was build. In 2005 it closed, since most of the inhabitants of the area have another believe these days.
The church remained in use for several non-religious purposes until early 2008. It was to be demolished in 2008. However a few months after the permit was given, local youth set fire to the church. They attempted this several times before, however this time it was a big one. Makes the demolishing easier and the story more sad. In 2011 the church is demolished.
